Short answer: a made-to-order engagement ring from Octa Pearl takes 10 to 14 business days to make and 5 to 7 business days to arrive, about three weeks in total. Fully custom designs drawn from your own sketch take longer, and we agree the schedule with you before we start.

Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays. Shipping inside the US is free and insured.
What happens during those weeks
Every ring goes through the same steps. We are not giving a day count for each step, because the work overlaps and we would rather not invent precise numbers. The order is:
- Design and preparation. Your choices (metal, ring size, centre stone) are confirmed. For a custom design, this is where a CAD drawing is made and approved.
- Casting. The ring is cast in the metal you chose: 10K, 14K or 18K gold, or platinum.
- Diamond setting. The centre stone and accent diamonds are set by hand.
- Polishing. The ring is hand-polished.
- Quality inspection. Our team inspects the ring in several steps and checks it against the IGI report for the centre stone.
- Insured shipping. The ring ships in our presentation box with the IGI report. An adult signature is needed when it arrives.
What can make it take longer
- A fully custom design. One-of-a-kind rings made from your CAD sketch need extra production time. We confirm it with you before we begin.
- A missed delivery signature. If nobody is home, the carrier will try again, which adds days.
- Holidays. US federal holidays do not count as business days, so a ring ordered in late December or around Presidents Day can take more calendar days.
- Changes after the first day. You can change the size or metal, or cancel, within 24 hours of ordering. After that, materials are set aside for your ring and the order cannot be changed.
How to count back from a date
Take the day you need the ring, count back 7 business days for delivery, then 14 business days for making, and skip weekends and federal holidays. That gives you the safe order date. For example, for a ring in hand by Friday 12 February 2027, the safe order date is Wednesday 13 January. We worked through it in our guide to Valentine's 2027 order-by dates. Returns on made-to-order rings
You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange an unworn ring, in its original box with the IGI report. This includes rings with our complimentary laser engraving. The exception is a fully custom CAD commission, which is final sale unless there is a manufacturing defect. Read the full policy before you order.

Can I rush my order?
Faster courier options are available at checkout once production is done. They shorten the delivery step, not the making. If you have a date in mind, message us before you order.

Only within 24 hours. After that, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.
