What your report shows
An IGI laboratory-grown diamond report records the stone’s measurements and grades. These are the lines to look at first.
- Shape, cut and carat weight
- Color (D to Z) and clarity (FL to I3) grades
- Polish, symmetry and growth method (CVD or HPHT)
- Report number, also laser-inscribed on the stone

What is IGI?
The International Gemological Institute is an independent laboratory that grades diamonds and gemstones and issues reports describing them.
Does the report say the diamond is lab-grown?
Yes. IGI issues a laboratory-grown diamond report that identifies the stone as laboratory-grown.
Is the report included with my order?
Yes. The report for your center stone ships with your jewelry, and you can look it up on igi.org at any time.
Do the small side stones have reports?
Reports cover the center stone. Small accent stones are not graded individually.
